Symptom

• Simply way to generate a lcmbiar of your Webi report containing N4V widget and send it to Need4Viz Support

Environment

• Windows Server / Linux
• Need4Viz : all versions
• SABI : all versions

Resolution

Before générating a lcmbiar with your Webi report, please be sure that :

• Your Webi report is saved WITH THE DATA (the support team will not be able to refresh it)
• The report is saved with the "Refresh on open" parameter unchecked :

To generate your lcmbiar

Open your SAPBI CMC Portal (as administrator or with a user having the capability to generate a lcmbiar) and select "Promotion Management"

Click on "New Job"

Enter your company name and date in the Name field :

Select the Source of the lcmbiar ("Login to New CMS")

Select your source system (generally : localhost:6400) and "login"

In the Destination, choose "Output to LCMBIAR File" (check a green tick is displayed on the Source line) :

Click on "Create"

In the popup newly opened, select the Webi report you want to add in the lcmbiar (navigate in the left folders tree)

Click on "Add & Close"

Once the popup is closed, click on "Promote"

A new popup is displayed

Uncheck the "Password Encryption" (or if you want the lcmbiar to be crypted by a password, fill it and give it to the Need4Viz Support when you send them the lcmbiar otherwise they will not be able to open it)

Then click on Export to generate the lcmbiar :

You can retrieve the lcmbiar in your download folder on your laptop.
