Symptom

• Once a N4V widget is created in the report, how to display again the "Extended Parameters"

Environment

• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform : all 4.3+ Webi versions
• Need4Viz : all versions

Resolution

In SAPBI 4.3+ the Webi portal is full HTML5 technology. Due to this fact, there is different ways to display the N4V widgets, in Reading/Design mode.

1/ Custom Element interaction in Reading mode :

Throught this mode, you have access to the full interactivity of our widgets. You can display tooltips, drill, zoom, filter... inside the elements.

In Reading mode of Webi, the following button must be set to activate the interaction inside our widgets :

When you disable the interaction, the you have access to the default features of Webi blocks :

By default, the interaction is enabled in Reading mode.

2/Custom Element interaction in Design mode :

In design mode, the interaction should be disable to give you access to the parameters of the widgets. If you cannot select a widget or display its settings, that means the intearction is enabled. Disable it to set your widget.

When Interaction is disabled :

You now have access to the Extended Parameters (right click inside the widget) :
