Frequently Asked Question

Symptom

• It's unecessary to uninstall N4V for Webi. You should be able to repair it by installing the last patch or malking an adjustement in the configuration file.
• In exceptional case, if you need to uninstall the product, you can simply open the Windows Unistall Program page and click on "uninstall" N4V for Webi
• If the product did not uninstall correctly, follow the below steps to finish uninstallation.

Environment

• Windows Server
• Need4Viz : all versions

Resolution

1. Open a PowerShell command window as local administror of the server. Run a "pm2 kill" command.
2. Open the Central Configuration Manager and stop the BOEXI40Need4Viz service :
3. Open a Prompt Command and run the command sc delete boexi40need4viz.exe : 
   
4. Check in the Central Configuration Manager that the Need4Viz service does not exist anymore :
5. Delete the folder where N4V is installed : ~Need4Viz
6. Delete the folder where the webapp N4VCustomElements is insalled (tomcat/webapp/N4VCustomElements)
7. Open the Windows Services and check if MongoDB is running. 
8. If necessary, Stop the MongoDBServer.
9. Open the Windows Unistall Program page and click on "uninstall" MongoDB
10. Open the Windows Registry Editor and delete the node HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Need4Viz

    
    

The product is now completly uninstall from the server.
