Symptom

• Create and configure a Need4Viz Data analyzer.
• In the Data Analyzer, configure the view as you need (change the objects viewed, change the display, create some alerters...)
• Save the Webi report. Ask a Webi user to open your report on his computer : the Data anlyzer is displayed with the default intial version (your customization seems to not be stored).

Environment

• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform : all 4.2/4.3 Webi versions
• Need4Viz : all versions

Resolution

The customization realized in the Data Analyzer is not stored in the Webi report until you specify it. It is only sotred in the cache of your browser (that's why each time you open the report on your computer, your customization is correctly displayed but not on another browser's session).

To save the customization in the Webi report, please follow the steps :

• Once you have finished your settings in the Data Analyzer (organize the display, alerters...), open the "Export settings" panel :
• a popup appears, depending the version of N4V the popup may be different :
  • in previous versions of N4V -> select all the text inside and copy it : 
  • in newer versions of N4V :

    Clic on "Copy" then open the Extended parameters to paste the value

    
• Close the popup and open the Extended parameters of the Data Analyzer (in Webi Design mode) 
• Paste the text in the "Extended_config"/"Exported parameters" section then apply.
• Now save the Webi report. The customization is now saved with you report and all users will have the same display of the Data Analyzer as you.
